The Angel has everything going for it. Handy for the A14, M1/M6, welcoming and really helpful staff and a central location in pleasant and well-appointed Market Harborough which makes it a meeting point for many for coffee or a drink. The bar had an assortment of beers to satisfy most tastes. It even has history as The Angel was a former 16th century coaching inn. What’s more, the free wi-fi work wonderfully well, better than I’ve experienced in establishments well up the ranking order, and my room, one of 28, was spacious if a little dark and lacked the homely touch. However, my colleague was not so fortunate and, frankly, he did not enjoy his stay and neither of us were particularly keen on the breakfast offering. External parking, if you can’t get into the car park, is a nightmare. It starts at 7am and so I received a 6.30am alarm call to move my car.
