Alberts Bar and Grill, Puerto Cabopino
The sounds of ‘Frank Sinatra’ and ‘Michael Buble’ emanated from Alberts stylish bar at Puerto Cabopino.
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and, despite the appeal, we were more concerned about soaking up the rays and enjoying the cooling sea breeze.
Anyway, Alberts was packed.
The beach at Cabopino seems to go on and on. Kite and wind surfers provide entertainment.
The surf is ideal for an early-season paddle. It was cold but invigorating, by the way.
However, we remembered Alberts. We wandered in that direction two days later and it was quiet.
A Happy Hour was advertised. We misunderstood the waiter initially but the deal is you buy the first round and the second is free.
We did. Pam had two cocktails one orange and raspberry based with Cava and the other gin-based. Both were well constructed and presented and refreshingly-different.
My two pints of cooling lager were just what I needed after our bracing walk into the wind on the beach.
Alberts is immaculate and pleasing to the eye. They also provide gas heaters if the temperature dips.
And the staff are extremely helpful. The place is recommended by many and we will try the meals later but we could not fault it.
