A third of the nation have attempted Dry January in the past, but have not managed to complete the whole month, according to research by soft drinks brands, Robinsons and 7UP Free.
The second week in January is the most common week for people to start drinking alcohol again (27 per cent) with 24 per cent not being able to make it past the first week.
Soft drinks can also be paired with food to enhance specific flavour and low-sugar soft drinks are known as being the preferred choice as an alternative to alcohol.
Robinsons Fruit Cordials and 7UP Free have teamed up with the world food recipe box service, Feast Box, to create alcohol-free drink pairings.
