RATING: Food 4; Atmosphere 4.6; Service 4.6, Drinks 5; Toilets 4
We have been visiting bar/café Pizzeria La Posa now for something like seven years, writes Peter Scargill. The bar has a great location in the centre of the village of Galera, only minutes off the main A-330 on the Cullar/Puebla De Don Fadrigue route, and is an easy walk from anywhere in Galera.
Pizzeria La Posa is a family business run by the Barachina family and offers a range of food to suit all tastes. Drinks are inexpensive and portions are ample.
As is common in many places in Andalusia, tapas are free and you are provided with these on purchase of alcoholic drinks though at peak times you might have to ask.
It is very busy all weekends in the summer but in the winter you can still expect a friendly service and at least the odd British speaking visitor. Thursday nights in particular, the bar is popular with ex-pat British. Staff are friendly and generally, Pizzeria La Posa is open very late at night.
