I really didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. This place was buzzing and the food a delight. It is busy and no wonder. The food selection is extensive and my companions had nothing but praise for the dishes selected. We all enthused over the mezze platter. The beetroot dip was striking in colour and taste. It also contained humus, tabouleh (parsley salad with bulgar wheat), cacik (seasoned, strained or diluted yogurt), falafel (deep fried ball of chickpeas), borek (pastry with filling) and hellum (unripened cheese, mix of goat and sheep milk). It really had people talking. So did the lamb kofte, minced lamb with an Ottoman herb and spice blend, chargrilled. It was served with either rice or fries and salad. Brilliant. We’ll all be back. PS: don’t judge this restaurant by the website.
