Ibis Styles, Stare Miasto, Chrobrego, Poland
RATING: Food 4, Atmosphere 4, Service 4.5, Drinks 3, Toilets 5, Website 4
This is a pleasant, reasonably-priced, recently-opened hotel with modern décor in a charming town packed with old-world charm near Poznan (5ok).
Local say not much has changed down the years and the Ibis Styles is ideally placed. It is near the shops and a short stroll from the cathedral, said to be the main tourist attraction.
The rooms spacious and comfortable with Wi-Fi which works and the team of chefs produced a range of menus with a leaning towards local cuisine. The soup portfolio was particularly impressive.
We stayed four comfortable nights there and the staff were so helpful, even sourcing a laundry and translating our requirements which made the task easy. The hotel does not yet have a laundry.
The town centre is pedestrianised with a number of pleasant cafes, restaurants and bars and people are more than happy to help. It does, however, help to have a smattering of Polish.
