A Saturday morning trip to Glasgow to visit family ended up in a visit to Epicures for brunch. We were welcomed by Epicures’ cosy interior and warm atmosphere. The decor is spot on and the clever design, with cafe downstairs and a raised intimate dining area combining to epitomise the culture of Glasgow’s West End. To the food – we were hungry. A full breakfast, comprising of bacon, scrambled eggs, black pudding, sausage, potato scone, tomato and mushrooms went down a treat, the pork and apple sausage a particular highlight. The bacon was cooked to perfection and the accompanying coffee spot on, a rare occurrence these days. Magz plumped for egg’s benedict which she devoured in seconds and raved about for the remainder of the day. Epicures ticks the box in all areas and the the small chunk of brownie with the coffee, a great touch. We’ll be back
