QUIRKY, that’s the best word to describe Caffe Forum. It is seconds from Gloucester Road tube station, next door to a rather twee café with posh chairs and tablecloths – nice if you want that sort of thing.
We didn’t, we needed somewhere we could meet as a family, with ages ranging from seven to 65, and this was ideal with an eclectic mix of furniture and food, much of it pasta-based with vegetables to the fore.
It’s the sort of place students would love, no rush, sit around, read the papers or chat and we weren’t the only family to have found this atmospheric establishment.
There is also seating outside, a bid ambitious in December, perhaps, but this place has character and is worth visiting. And, as an added bonus, the prices are extremely attractive.
